How to Enable Root user on MacOS Sierra
It is quite simple to turn on Root user under MacOS Sierra. Just take the following steps.
- From MacOS Sierra screen, launch “Directory Utility”
- Click on the “clock” at the bottom left corner, you then need to enter your admin password to unlock.
- Drop down the “Edit menu” and select “Enable Root User”.
- You then will be asked for the root password twice.
- Done! The Root user is enabled on your Mac
